About us

Who are Snowshepherd ?

We are a small family company, made up of experienced mountain sports enthusiasts, Tim the founder has over 35 years of experience, competing back in the mid 80’s in aeriel freestyle events and is still an aggressive off-piste adventurer.

Brandon the tester and freerider spends the winter seasons in the French Alps, he is an extreme freerider

using much of the equipment we supply.

Marketing and support comes from Amy, a specialist creative media professional who also has a passion for skiing at a recreational level.

What do we offer?

We supply a more specific range of gear to off-piste, backcountry, touring and recreational users. Essentially the range revolves around “avalanche” and “protection” gear that we think, a greater percentage of mountain sports enthusiast should be using.

This is specialised stuff so we know that you should be talking with people who use it in real snow situations. We are here to offer advice and support and aim to provide the best possible service to our customers.

We have also become very well know for our range of leather work gloves used by many ski workers around the world, and our bespoke custom made piste signs and markers, we also do trade sales on some of these products so please contact us if your a ski patroller or Snow dome buyer.

Why are we doing this?

Skiers and boarders are venturing off-piste more than ever, even if it’s just a few meters, Snowshepherd belives the saying “there is no such thing as a little bit of off-piste” is very true and we try to live by it.

Our special place in the French Alps, is all about off-piste skiing and boarding, over the last few years we have seen what happens when gravity takes over and people do not have the correct gear with them.

We saw an opportunity to offer the essentials from one site rather than numerous retailers offering a limited range. As we grow so will the range but it will always be essential items rather than fashion, trends or seasonal changes.

Ski and Board responsibly, but have fun!
