Movement Mosquito Review

Movement Mosquito new twin tip freestyle ski for 2012, super fun ski for piste off piste and park.

The Movement Mosquito come in just two sizes 172cm and 180cm, we had the 180 with us, they are a very balanced 130 x 94 x 122 profile giving a turn radius of onlt 13m in 172 and 14m in 180.

Weight is 1.85kg and they are the classic CTS side wall construction giving a good freestyle pop flex.

Off Piste, this ski is really nice, the full twin tip and early rise rocker tip make it very easy to ski, they are not a pure off piste ski, however they work pretty well I would say the max weight if your using quite a bit off piste is around 90kg. They turn very quickly and can be a little hook like but in the trees and down the side of the piste in ankle to knee deep they really come into there own.

On Piste, reall good fun, easy to pop turns and jumps when ever you want to, if you like tip 360 turns in mid air the Mosquito is great at these, in fact almost to good as I was not even trying to do them. With the turn radius  being so short and on good snow these skis really bite in and turn very quick.

Slopestyle Stuff! Ok not my area of expertise, but some of the team love this and report that the Mosquito really does live up to its name and gives you a huge buzz, as they are just so quick.

All terrain all Mountain is the key word for these skis, they are not Snowshepherd's norm as you might say, when you look at our other skis, but they are such good fun and a really good one quiver twin tip that we had to include in the range.

Perfect ski for fun loving seasonnaire wanting a twin tip for everyday use with the ability to get off piste or go and hit the park with.
