The new Ortovox Swiss Wool Freeride leather ski gloves have really got us excited, as many people know Snowshepherd have established the market here in the UK for leather ski workers gloves with the Venitex and Kinco leather gloves, now we can add what we think is the most exciting glove on the market today.
Ortovox have used their years of experience with wool and outer fabrics to come up with a functional stylish glove that works as good as it looks. Outer fabric is a combination of soft leather palms and fingers plus the wind and water repellent Toray Dermizax EV, this fabric is extremley breathable, stretchy and strong.
Then they added Swisswool insulation in both a super warm 150g/m2 on the outside and a snug 120g/m2 on the inside. The result is that on cold days your hands are super warm, but as things hot up they are very breathable, wicking persperation away before your hands get wet. The added benefit of wool insulation is that if in extreme conditions your gloves become wet then wool maintains its insulation properties unlike synthetics.
On top of this the new Ortovox gloves come with the most desirable features, adjustable cuffs single action, adjustable straps on the rear of the gloves, leather pull tabs up the cuffs and probably one of the most important features for top of the range gloves built in elasticated anti loss straps, after all who wants to drop their new gloves off the chair lift!
They come in 3 great colour ways red, blue and black plus if you need the extra warmth of a mitten style Ortovox Swisswool Freeride mittens are available as well.
